Polybar Aclar® (PCTFE) high barrier thermoformable film
Packages made with materials from Amcor provide the peace of mind that they will meet all the requirements set for blister packs and will provide the optimal protection for your products.
Aclar®, poly-chloro-trifluoro-ethylene (PCTFE), is a unique film developed by Honewell with high barrier properties, excellent moisture barrier and chemical stability suitable for packing hydroscopic Formulations.
Polybar® Aclar® blister packaging offers the widest range of MVTR barrier films and the highest crystal clarity of any thermoforming film on the market.
Aclar film can be laminated to a multitude of substrates, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP), cyclicolefin copolymer (COC) and ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH).
Aclar® film properties :
- The best moisture barrier of any clear thermoplastic film
- Bio-chemically inert
- Plasticizer and stabilizer free
- Processes within the same range as other thermoforming films
Polybar® Aclar® films have very good machineability and can be used on existing thermoforming lines for PVC, PVC/PVDC, Polybar® COC and PP without the use of additional tooling.
Polybar® Aclar® films are sealable against all Aluminum lidding foils with PVC heatseal lacquers, as well as lacquers for sealing against Aclar® film.
Polybar® Aclar® films structures comply with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia, the relevant US Code of Federal Regulations, CONEG and BGVV. All structures are listed in our DMF (Drug Master File).
