MALEIC ANHYDRIDE
This is an organic compound obtained by the transformation of Benzene or normal butane, both derived from oil, through the use of catalysts (catalytic oxidation process).
Its production , initially mainly based on the fixed bed technology from benzene , was supplemented by the fluidized bed from normal butane in the ‘90s.
This dioxide, highly versatile for its reactivity , is used as a raw material for the production of unsaturated polyester resins, additives for lubricating oils, copolymers for water treatment, solvents, esters, synthetic fibres and many products that are used in very diverse industrial sectors.
PHTALIC ANHYDRIDE
This is an organic compound obtained by the transformation of ortoxilene ( itself derived from oil ) through the use of catalysts (catalytic oxidation process).
It is used for the production of plasticizers and for different types of unsaturated polyester resins and alkyd.
TRIMELLITIC ANHYDRIDE
This is an organic anhydride obtained by a process of transformation of pseudocumene (itself derived from oil) through the use of catalysts (catalytic oxidation process).
It is mainly used for the production of enamels for insulating electrical cables, for powder coatings for the field of electrical appliances and furnishings and metal for the production of plasticizers, in particular for the electrical, transportation and medical industry.
TETRAIDROPHTALIC ANHYDRIDE
This is an organic compound obtained from the reaction of Maleic and Butadiene.
It is used in the unsaturated polyester resins and hardeners for epoxy resins production and as raw material for products used in agriculture.
